The Deliciousness Standard

Anyone can generate an app that works. The Deliciousness Standard is what makes a Delicious app worth keeping — and it's enforced, not aspirational.

The three tenets

• Beauty — eye-catching from the first frame. Type, color, and motion that make a thumb stop scrolling.
• Harmony — everything in proportion. Native, calm, consistent; nothing fighting for attention.
• Deliciousness — the small delights. A haptic at the right moment, a transition that lands, an app that respects your time.

The Gate

At QA, each tenet is scored 0–3 from the actual screens. An app may ship only if:

• every tenet scores ≥ 2,
• the total is ≥ 7 of 9 (so at least one tenet has to reach a 3),
• there are zero Human Interface Guidelines violations, and
• the App Review pre-flight is clean.

A correct-but-generic app fails by design — and loops back to be made delicious. This bar is the third leg of the moat, alongside native depth and the App Store last mile: taste you can't fake.
